One of my favorite newfound outdoor furniture lines is from Damian Velasquez and sold on Artfulhome.com.   This is a gorgeous, airy, sculptural chair made of stainless steel and powder coated in blue, orange and white.   It is sturdy with a modern shape and the perfect pitch to the back so you won’t feel too reclined or like you’re being pushed forward.

This is a splurge item at $2,500 per chair but if the price is a budget buster, keep scrolling………

Fermob is still one of my favorite outdoor lines.  Founded and manufactured in France, the Luxembourg collection feels like a garden cafe.  All of the pieces are made of lightweight aluminum and available in 24 vivid colors.  I’ve seen pricing range from $700 for the rocking chair to $400 for the dining chairs.   What you get for your money is furniture that is made from recycled and recyclable metals and powder coating products and techniques.  The paint is UV coated to maintain the vibrance of each color and each piece goes through a rigorous quality control inspection and is signed by the quality control inspector.  These pieces will last a lifetime and can be left outdoors, uncovered with confidence.

So here’s my favorite alternative for any budget.  This is the outdoor Golf chair by Emu Americas.  Available with or without arms, it comes in 5 fun colors and  lands in the $120 price range.   A grouping of these chairs around a fire pit or a dining table makes for great impact!  Emu is known for making furniture that will withstand public space use and abuse, so this chair will stand up famously to a residential outdoor space.
